My name is Alvin Arnold. I'm 57 years old, 6'1" and weigh 210 lbs, physically fit and mentally sound. For nearly three years, I have been in prison on a trumped up charge of attempted second degree murder of my former wife. At the time I knew little or nothing about the law and was coerced to plead "no contest" to the charge, with the inducement that, by doing so, I'd receive a "benefit". The only thing I received was sentence of 228 months in prison for a crime I never committed! This is my first time in prison and being incarcerated has been a virtual nightmare for me.
I'm from a small town in Arkansas called Mena. Before coming to Kansas seeking employment, I was a trucker for 11 years and was married for 31 years. I ended up in a small town in Kansas called Mankato, where I met and fell in love with my former wife, the one who falsely accused me of trying to murder her. She owns a restaurant in the town and all the law enforcement officials dine there. Many of these officials have been friends of my former wife for years and when she falsely accused me of trying to murder her, they all sided with her. In my case, there was no interest in the part of the officials to ascertain the truth. To them, I was just an outsider, a pariah, to be case out of the community.
Well, I'm not going to just lie down and die. I'm a fighter! But I need help! I'm especially interested in the "Justice Denied" section. I very much need legal assistance, so I'd certainly be interested in having you set up a legal defense fund. I have legal document that will verify that I am not guilty of trying to murder my former wife. I will send them to you if you or someone is willing to help me in my efforts to regain my freedom. I have filed a lawsuit against my former wife in an attempt to regain some of my personal property or to be compensated for its loss, in case she has gotten rid of my property.
