I am Brother Larry X. McDaniel. I am incarcerated here at Huntingdon State Prison. In my 15 years of incarceration I have seen much concerning the men of God. I'm no scholar nor am I holier than thou, but I believe we confess to be Men of God can do better than what we are doing.
Being concerned and displeased with the way we display our God conscious attitude I decided to do a questionaire asking three basic questions:
1. As incarcerated men, do we actually practice religion or just talk it?
2. As incarcerated men, what self development do you get out of Church service? What is your duties as applied?
3. My conscious spoke to me. Had you been thinking Right on the street, the time that you are spending behind the wall would have been on the other side. Do you believe had you not been arrested you would still be alive or do you believe you would be dead or something else?
The mens answers bear witness to my soul which I call "Penitentiary Religion". I mean no disrespect but the Chaplain's office can not help me and will not help me. We have issues that need to be addressed and I'm hoping to reach someone out in society that is willing to help me perfect my manuscript and bring it to life.
