I am a 50 year old man challenging a life sentence for 1st degree attempted murder in Maryland, imposed in 1998. I enjoy reading, poetry, music, writing, travel, cultural enrichment, exercising 4 to 6 times a week, engaging in meaningful conversation and helping others.
1. To establish a support base for defense and education fund. The defense fund will be used to finance challenges to what I believe to be an illegal and double-jeopardy sentence. The education fund will be used to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. Credits have been accrued toward this goal.
2. To establish and maintain a communication link with potential alliances for the purpose of nurturing a sound and diverse psychological balance as it relates to prison life and society in general.
In order to maximize the potential of any interaction, it is very important that potential alliances be able to handle stress well, be independent, be open-minded and able to assist me in the management of my situation. Having children is fine. Versatility and emotional stability are very important. While all correspondence is welcome, the abscense of any of these qualities may hinder relationship development.
